At its meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 5, the APS Board of Education unanimously approved placing bond and mill levy (budget) questions on the November ballot.
The $14.7 million mill levy, Ballot Question 3A, would fund educational programs, full-day kindergarten, technology applications and efforts to attract and retain highly-qualified staff. The $215 million bond, Ballot Question 3B, would focus on safety and security improvements, remodels and renovations at older schools, a new high school and P-8 school, and technology projects.
District voters will be asked to decide on the bond and mill levy measures on November 4. To participate in the election, citizens must register to vote by October 6.
