ACHS MEDIA CENTER
RULES AND POLICIES
 
 
Aurora Central Media Center is a place for learning for
all students and staff. It is an extension of every
classroom and, as such, must have rules and policies to
protect the rights of all patrons.
 
All school rules will be enforced, and any adult in the
Library Media Center may request that students
respect the rights of others.
 
Continued disruption may result in expulsion
from the Library Media Center.

 
 
HOURS
 
ACHS Media Center is open from 7:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Optional evening hours may be available.
 
PASSES
 
Students must have a pass or student ID to use the Media Center unless they are with a class. Students without a pass may obtain one at the desk from Media Center personnel.
 
 
CHECK-OUT OF MATERIALS
 
BOOKS may be checked out for three weeks.
MAGAZINES may be checked out for one day.
REFERENCE BOOKS may be checked out for one day.
 
*No materials will be checked out to anyone with overdue books or fines.
*Students must have their student ID cards to check out materials.
 
 
OVERDUE FINES
 
Three- week materials -- $.05/day
Overnight materials -- $.50/day
 
 
 
FOOD/DRINK
 
No food or drink is allowed in the Media Center.
It will be confiscated and not returned.
 
 
 
MEDIA CENTER COMPUTERS
 
Media Center computers are available for students doing class work only.
 
 
SUPPLIES
 
Students should have their own supplies to use in the Media Center.
A limited amount of supplies is available for checkout with
student ID card.
 
 
INTERNET USE
 
Students may use the Internet for research purposes providing they have a completed contract on file in the media center. Internet access privileges are indicated by a sticker on the the student ID.
