Governor Bill Ritter returns to his high school alma mater next week in a show of support for a number of education bills. Gateway High School will host the governor as he signs into law five bills.

The bills include:

• HB 1204 (Peniston/Williams), Educ Services For Students In Facilities
• HB 1223 (Merrifield/Williams), Training Around Literacy Challenges K-12
• HB 1370 (Middleton/Bacon), School Counselor Corps Grant Program
• HB 1384 (Todd/Bacon), Teacher Quality Recruitment Retention
• HB 1386 (Merrifield/Spence), School Leadership Academy Program

The public is welcome to attend the special ceremony on Tuesday, May 27 at 1 p.m. Gateway High School, 1300 S. Sable Road 80012.
