Students at Jamaica and Vaughn elementary schools signed Student Signatures in Space posters that will be digitized and sent into space as part of the Space Day celebration.

Now in its eighth year, Space Day is an educational initiative to advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

Dan Marshall, a satellite systems engineer from Lockheed Martin, talked with Jamaica students about space travel.
