Black History Month at Sable Elementary School
Students, Parents, Staff and Community Celebrate Together

Black History Month will be incorporated into everyday classroom learning at Sable Elementary School. School assemblies will feature an African American storyteller.

The celebration will center around this theme:

"From the book of knowledge is power."

Students will be reading and learning about the contributions African Americans have made to our society.

Parents and community are invited to join with the students and staff of Sable Elementary for Celebration Night.

The event will take place at the school,
2601 Sable Boulevard
from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 27.

African American food, story-telling, music, drama, arts, crafts, clothing and prizes will all be part of the learning. Dana Knowles from 9News will be participating in this fun and educational evening.
