APS STEP Volunteer Recognition Brings 200 New Books to Jamaica Elementary School Library
APS wants to thank all of our community volunteers. Your efforts help our students learn every day.

Library Media Services is donating 200 new books to the Jamaica library in honor of long-term STEP volunteer Audrey Kenny. Her service and dedication to Jamaica students has made a difference to hundreds of young readers.

"Audrey Kenny has been a loyal and dedicated library volunteer for 10 years at Jamaica Elementary. Audrey helps our students and our school as a whole by organizing our books. She also helps students and staff members locate resources they need in the library. She is always a delightful and thoughtful person to all of our community," said Mandee Padilla, educational assistant in the Jamaica media center."
