APS Students Benefit from the Generosity of Local Businesses
Many APS students are starting the year with new school supplies from local businesses and community members.
Many Kenton students received backpacks courtesy of Office Depot. The backpacks brought smiles to the faces of students as they opened them to find school supplies.

Kenton is one of five district schools that received backpacks from Office Depot. Brad Martin worked with the company to donate 400 backpacks to students in the metro area.

"I grew up in Aurora and am an APS graduate and parent. The most rewarding part of all of this is seeing the expression on the faces of kids when they see the backpacks and school supplies."
-Brad Martin, donation organizer

"I get to carry all my books and homework in a new backpack," third-grader Darius said.

Office Depot is not alone in its generosity. The Aurora Education Aurora Education FoundationFoundation also partners with many businesses, such as the Salvation Army, 9 News Stuff for Students, Costco and Corporate Express so that students and teachers at every school receive supplies to start the year.
