Share Your Views on the New Strategic Plan

On Oct. 17, APS is releasing a draft of VISTA 2010, the district's new strategic plan for public review. The plan is based on feedback received during the superintendent's 90-day listening tour. APS is collecting additional feedback from students, parents, staff and community members to ensure that the draft plan meets Aurora's needs.

VISTA
The theme of the plan is "picking up the PACE for continuous improvement." VISTA 2010 focuses on four key areas: People, Achievement, Community and Environment. Goals, objectives and actions are outlined for each area. Every APS division and school will develop an action plan to ensure accountability throughout the district.

The draft strategic plan is available online along with a survey for readers to share their views at www.aps.k12.co.us/supt/plan. APS will collect feedback through Nov. 3 and finalize the plan by Nov. 21. Note: APS has extended the feedback deadline date to Nov. 10.
