The Fund for Colorado's Future Provides Books for Fletcher Elementary School

"Every child in our school received five books. We are very grateful for this act of generosity. We know children learn to read by reading. Now our students have more books to support reading at home," said Principal Laura Brinkman.

As part of an ongoing effort to support local reading programs and literacy awareness, AT&T has donated $10,000 to the Fund for Colorado's Future.

This donation will boost literacy through the Spread the Word campaign which provides children with books. Last September, students from more than 25 Colorado schools donated books to the campaign. Fletcher is one of 16 schools designated to receive the books.

"This is a wonderful example of how businesses and communities can work together to help our schools," said State Senator Stephanie Takis.
