Town Hall Meeting at West Middle School Emphasized Security, Strategic Plan
About 140 parents, community members and APS staff members showed up at the second town hall meeting that took place in the West Middle School auditorium. Many of the more than 90 questions that individuals submitted for the discussion focused on security in APS and elements of VISTA, the superintendent's strategic plan that will be available Oct. 17.
Superintendent John L. Barry, members of the Board of Education and the APS leadership team answered more than 40 of the submitted questions during the formal Q&A period. They then took time afterwards to talk with audience members informally and one-on-one.
