Public Law 99-457 is a re-authorization of Public Law 94-142 and was passed
by Congress in 1986. It mandates that districts serve children with
disabilities ages three through five. Federal incentive grants provide
funds to assist districts in implementing early childhood programs at the
earliest date. The district operates early childhood half-day sessions at
several locations. |
