The State of Colorado has determined that students who are identified as highly gifted students may apply for early entrance into kindergarten and/or first grade (Early Access:  Rule Section 12.02(1)(H) and 12.08).

Application Information

  • Application submissions are now closed for the 2010-11 school year.
  • No incomplete applications will be considered.  School and ECE staffs will support parents in checking applications for completeness.
  • Early Access:  Rule Section 12.02(1)(H) and 12.08 states that when applying for early access, preschoolers MUST be 4 by September 1, 2010 to be admitted to Kindergarten and 5 by September 1, 2010 to be admitted to First grade.
  • Full-day kindergartens are not currently available at all school sites.  Some full-day kindergartens are tuition-based programs.  Students who qualify for free lunch will have tuition waived.
