About the Gateway High School Choir Program

                 The Gateway High School Choir has over 200 students participating in the
  program. Each Choir is different, and all come from different backgrounds.

                 On occasions, certain choirs perform around the state, and sometimes even
around the country. Freshman or otherwise,  should consider taking choir as
an elective, because it creates a sense of friendship and family. No
matter where you are, your voice will never be the same again: That’s
a guarantee!

       Most will be expected to start in either Women’s Choir or Men’s
Choir (unless it is requested you start out at a different level), and work
your way up. From here, the Gateway Choral Director, John Richard, will decide
where you belong in one of the following:

      In each of these choirs, your skill will grow as you sight read more, learn
music theory, and of course…SING!
