| More than 50 individuals were nominated for the first Superintendent's Quarterly Awards. These awards recognize outstanding parents, staff and community members who make a difference in the lives of APS students. |
A committee composed of members from the Classified Employees Council, the Aurora Education Association and the School Executives of Aurora participated in the selection process. The committee selected 10 nominees for nine different categories (including two for elementary teachers). |

| The first Quarterly Awards Recognition celebration for the winners was held Oct. 30, 4 p.m. at Gateway High School. Photos of the winners will be displayed on a "Wall of Fame" in the administration building and posted online. |
