Join us at the One PACE--Many Strides to Excellence Learning Fair

This APS Learning Fair:

  • demonstrates what staff are doing to increase student achievement
  • supports our goal of being transparent and involving our community in the work we do
  • highlights how staff are implementing VISTA 2010 in schools and support sites
  • features round-table discussions, presentations and school display

Join any or all sessions on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Hinkley High School, 1250 Chambers Rd., Aurora, 80011.
(Please note that the location has changed to Hinkley H.S. due to construction at Gateway H.S.)

  • 10:15-11:15 a.m.
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • 1:45-2:45 p.m.

  • 7:30 – 8:00 Coffee & Pastries Provided  - Commons
  • 8:00 – 10:00 Large Group Session:  Highlight of District’s 2008-09accomplishments - Auditorium

  • 11:15 – 12:30 Lunch on Your Own

  • 3:00 – 3:30 Large Group Session – Auditorium

How

  • During the conference sessions, three activities will be occurring and participants will be able to choose how they want to organize their day
  • give or attend a small group presentation that showcases a project, program, etc. to conference attendees;
  • view the learning fair data boards set up in the “exhibit” hall or;
  • facilitate or attend a roundtable discussion based on a key question/topic that will help plan for a 2009-10 project.
  • All three activities will focus on the following questions?
  • What was the plan?
  • What were the results?
  • What are the next steps?
  • All participants will receive a graphic organizer to capture reflections throughout the day.
