APS students recently showcased their vocal talents in the second annual “Aurora Kids Idol.” Modeled after the popular television show, the event attracted more than 100 audience members who experienced the talents of APS students and others. |
| |
Like the original “American Idol,” the student performers thanked those individuals who encouraged them to sing and perform onstage. Most of these students thanked not only their families, but also their schools and teachers. |

Elementary school teachers positively affect students every day, helping them to step out of their comfort zone and try new things. Chard’e at Side Creek Elementary credited Ms. Ross in supporting her reading. Elkhart Elementary student Mary Catherine said that Ms. Littleton played a big role in building her confidence. |

Older students said that teachers encourage them to contribute to their community. |
