IB Program Offers Students a Challenge

Aurora Public Schools offers a variety of specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of every student.  The International Baccalaureate Program offers high school students a unique global educational experience.  The program, housed at Hinkley High School, is open to all APS students.

The IB program provides students a challenging education that includes mastery of languages, social studies and mathematics.  The APS program is the only one in the nation that offers IB African History.

Several IB students have created a community service project in conjunction with the United Nations Landmine Initiative.  Over the past two years, IB students have raised more than $13,000 to clear a minefield in Mozambique.  On Oct. 20, Zach Hudson, from the United Nations, will visit IB students to discuss their work with the landmine initiative.
