Rock Art Brings "The Wild" to Iowa Elementary

Don't be surprised to see animal and insect critters in the school and on the playground when you visit Iowa Elementary.

In the same style as the "Cow Art" statues on display in cities like Chicago and Denver, the bugs and frogs and turtles you see around campus are actually creatively painted rocks.

"The students really enjoy the decorated stones we have around the Iowa campus. The stones are part of a larger project to help personalize Iowa and make it a friendly and inviting place for students and teachers."
- Michal Lord-Blegen
Iowa Elementary principal
